Introduction

Planet First Partners, the growth equity investment platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Medlock as Managing Partner. Nathan brings over 25 years of experience in private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and government advisory to Planet First Partners, as the company continues to focus on investment opportunities that maximise social, environmental, and economic returns.

Nathan's Background and Expertise

Nathan joins from Zouk Capital, a Tech growth equity and infrastructure fund manager, where he was a Partner and led the growth equity team investing in Series B-pre-IPO rounds in climate tech companies. Prior to this, Nathan was a Partner at Galaxis Capital where he advised, managed, and restructured portfolio companies owned by High-Net-Worth family offices. His mandates included mining, biotech, natural resources, and renewable energy across the US, EU, and Africa and he held active operational roles, including as CEO in a Swedish listed mining company and CFO of a private US biotech company.

Funding and Forward Momentum

Nathan’s appointment follows the successful close of Planet First Partners’ EUR450M fund earlier in the year. Capital from the fund will be deployed in companies in their growth stage (series B, C & D) with proven products and services, whose technologies will deliver the transition to a sustainable economy.
